It’s a true privilege to serve as Assistant Principal at Vestavia Hills Elementary Dolly Ridge, a school that feels like home in every sense of the word. I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to work alongside our exceptional principal, Mrs. Belski, our teachers and supportive families to ensure each child is seen, challenged, and cared for every day.
My background in education includes experience as a teacher, reading coach, and instructional partner. Prior to working in Vestavia Hills, I worked in Mountain Brook, and Gwinnett County, Georgia. I’ve taught in general education, inclusion, and gifted classrooms, and I earned my Gifted Education endorsement while teaching in Gwinnett. I came to Vestavia Hills in 2024 to serve Dolly Ridge as the school’s Instructional Partner.
I’m a proud two-time graduate of Samford University, where I earned both my undergraduate degrees in General and Special Education, and later, my Master’s in Educational Leadership. My time at Samford shaped both my professional path and my personal life as it’s where I met my husband, CJ.
Today, our daughter Maggie student right here at Dolly Ridge. Experiencing this school as both an administrator and a parent deepens my commitment to its mission every single day. I’m thankful to be part of this incredible community and excited for the work we’ll do together to ensure that every student learns without limits.
